The central theme of this entertainment following the marriage of Cosimo to Eleanor of Toledo is the comedy Il Commodo by Antonio Landi into which have been inserted seven intermezzi written by Giovanbattista Strozzi with music by Corteccia and produced under the direction of Giambullari. Gamba (2750) considers it "Molto raro libro, e forse il primo che ci dia Descrizioni di Apparati e Feste".
