A 9½-inch (24cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve coloured printed paper gores, with solar and lunar hour dial and an analemma, the oceans marked with principle steamship routes with nautical miles, the continents marked with principle transcontinental railway lines, national boundaries and and nation states variously coloured as appropriate for 1934 (some old surface abrasions and discolouration), with moulded aluminium meridian half circle (unengraved), mounted on a plinth support on a bakelite cabinet containing a complete issue of the Brittanica Junior - An Encyclopaedia for Boys and Girls by Encyclopaedia Brittanica, Inc., New York, 1934 -- 23¼in.
