FOUR SILVER ETROG BOXES: AN HUNGARIAN, RUSSIAN, POLISH AND AN ENGLISH EXAMPLE
The first probably Budapest, circa 1850; the second St. Petersburg, 17?85 (mark worn); the third late 19th century; the fourth C. S. Harris, London, 1908.
The first oval, on four ball feet, the sides with Hebrew inscription, the slightly raised hinged cover engraved with scene of a family dining in a Sukkah, enclosed by an inscription--6in. (15.2cm.) long; the second citron form, gilt lined, the hinged cover engraved with cyrillic cypher and cornet, on leaf form stand with leaf topped loop handle, the box--5in. (14.6cm.) long, marked on cover, base and stand; the third lobed bomb oval, the cover applied with rosette, the front with lock; the last of similar form, smaller together with a silver-plated box, the silver 59oz. (5)
