A PAIR OF VICTORIAN SILVER TORAH FINIALS AND A NORTH AFRICAN PAIR
The first maker's mark of Charles Boyton, London, 1892; the second possibly Gibraltar, late 19th century, the set modern.
The Victorian pair with three circular tiers, each pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls and hung with partly fluted bells, surmounted by a crown, fully marked--12in. (31.7cm.) high, 26.5oz.; the North African example with openwork spherical and cylindrical sections with scroll work designs, the top with four bell hung scrolls centering crown with Hebrew inscription 'Keter Torah'--9in. (24cm.) long; together with a four piece Israeli set comprising a pair of finials, hung with stylized pendants, with Star-of-David finial--13in. (34.2cm.) high the shield and torah pointer with floral openwork decoration, total weight of lot 100oz. (8)
