A ROYAL DOULTON EWER, VASE AND BOWL PRINTED WITH A SCENE FROM SHAKESPEARE'S 'THE MERCHANT OF VENICE'
Circa 1920, green and brown printed marks.
The ewer of tapering cylidrical form with bracket handle, the taller vase of similar form with everted mouth, the bowl with a wide rim, each printed in brown and enriched in colours on a yellow ground with the figure of 'Shylock' in a Gothic interior and named below or on the underside.
8.5/8in. (21.8cm.) high, the ewer; 12in. (30.5cm.) high, the vase; 7in. (19.7cm.) diam., the bowl. (3)
