A WEDGWOOD IRONSTONE OVAL PLATTER AND SOUP PLATE
19th century, impressed uppercase marks.
Each printed in blue with The Tomb of Absalom, the border with a wreath of large flowers within a band of scallops centering dots, 21in. (53.3cm.) wide, the platter, 9in. (24.8cm.) diam., the soup plate; together with a Wedgwood ironstone plate printed in blue in the 'Ivanhoe' pattern with 'Front de Boeuf Extorting Silver from Isaac the Jew' named below, the border with named portrait heads of characters from the novel reserved on a ground of fish and fowl among seaweed and grasses, 10in. (26cm.) diam. (3)
