HEBREW MANUSCRIPT - Seder Tefillot ke-Minhag Ashkenaz u-Polin (illustrated daily prayerbook according to the German and Polish rites, also including a complete illustrated Passover Haggadah). [London], copied and illustrated by Zanvil ben Joshua of Heitzfeld, 1785-86. Dedicated 1788.

[4] + 131 (lacking fol. 31) + [2] + 44 (lacking fol. 2) leaves. Paper, somewhat brittle. Dark brown ink. Fol. 11r: 188 x 146 mm., text: 145 x 122 mm.; varying number of lines per page, all pages within a frame, a single line in text ink in the Siddur and a triple line in red, yellow and red in the Haggadah. Quire structure unclear. Horizontal single catchwords used in the Haggadah only, running titles. Apparently no ruling and pricking. Square Ashkenazic and Yiddish script. Incomplete vocalization, only distinguishing between begedkefet-letters in case of different Ashkenazic pronunciation. Modern calf, two modern paper flyleaves at both ends, front pastedown is original, fol. 44 detached.
