Rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover inset with an oval enamel plaque painted with the Triumph of Venice: Tyche, the goddess of Fortune wearing a turreted crown, holding a cornucopia, seated on a chariot next to the St-Mark Lion, framed by a matted silver-gilt panel chased with stylized lotus flowers, the border of the lid, the sides and base engraved with an engine-turned coin pattern
