Rectangular shagreen-covered case with canted corners, gold-mounted with pierced and chased gold rocaille motifs, vases of flowers and shells, the cover with handle attachment and opening to show a purple velvet lined interior with three implements including two cut glass bottles with gold mounts and stoppers attached with gold chains, and a printed miniature almanach for London in 1757 bound in green silk and painted with flowers, the base with hinged lid opening to reveal a mirror and a velvet-lined compartment for patches, both pushpieces set with diamonds
