Rectangular gold box, the cover, front and rear sides and base decorated with a basket wave pattern alternating in yellow and red coloured gold, the left and right hand sides and pushpiece enamelled to simulate lapis-lazuli, the box opening to reveal a hinged mirror at the inside of the cover, and, in the base, two powder compartments covered with plain gold lids and a third compartment with incorporated lip-stick holder
