This work-table relates to a design, also for a work-table, by George Smith published in his Collection of Designs for Household Furniture and Interior Decoration, London, 1808, pl. 76.
Lillian S. Whitmarsh put together an extremely good collection which included a mixture of English and French furniture, porcelain and pictures.
