The present weight is from a limited edition of 2500. It is offered with its original certificate from the factory and with a letter to John Roosevelt dated 2 November 1971 from the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Baccarat, André Vulliet, offering the weight as a gift: "Because of the admiration which we at Baccarat, Inc. had for your mother and the splendid work she did in the field of human rights, an admiration which we found shared by so many people in France and particularly at the Baccarat factory where a pro-American feeling has always run high, I hope you will be kind enough to accept this token of our esteem."
