A BERLIN WOOLWORK AND NEEDLEWORK HANGING
Woven in gros point with four central picturesque scenes depicting peasant women boating, a nursemaid looking after her child, a courting couple by a well and a courtly lady about to tip over in a boat, all within a needlework stylised foliate border on a green-blue ground and with puce outer borders divided by panels of scrolling acanthus arabesques and with corner sprays of flowers including roses, tulips, anemonies and other flowers in a further foliate border and later herringbone slip, minor areas of reweaving and restoration
