A Böttger Goldchinesen teabowl and saucer
Circa 1725, the Augsburg decoration slightly later
The exterior of the teabowl and the underside of the saucer applied with gilt flowering branches and gilt with birds on branches between gilt borders with dot and pendant scroll-ornament, the teabowl similarly decorated with insects, the interior of the bowl and the saucer with elegant Oriental figures among flowering shrubs on a richly gilt ground edged with interlocking C-scrolls (the teabowl and saucer with some slight chipping to flowers on branches, the saucer with minute chip to footrim, some very minor wear to gilt shrubs)
