A carved oak side table, 19th century
In the Louis XVI style, of large size, the rectangular moulded top with cut corners and a moulded edge, the frieze with recessed panels of floral, foliate and interlaced strap-work ornament, on foliate carved and recessed square tapered legs with trailing ornament, joined by curved H-stretcher below, with foliate arched foliate and floral ornament
75½in. (191.5cm.) wide, 37in. (94cm.) deep, 36in. (92cm.) high

Sir Julius Wernher, 1st Bt. (1850-1912), Bath House, London, and Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire, by whom bequeathed, through his widow
Alice, Lady Wernher, subsequently Lady Ludlow (1862-1945), to their son
Sir Harold Wernher, 3rd Bt., G.C.V.O. (1893-1973), Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire, in the Dining Room, and by descent.
