A COMPOSITE SPANISH ARMET
The visor circa 1500, the remainder 19th Century
With hemispherical one-piece skull arched over the brow and extending to a very narrow full length tail, with full length medial ridge rising to form a plain comb, fitted with deep strongly cusped reinforce over the brow, a pair of vertically hinged cheek-pieces joined at the chin and almost meeting at the rear, fitted with strongly pointed visor over the pivot hinges, with divided sight with flanged lower edge, embossed with three chevron flutes below the prow and fitted with later lifting-peg, the tail of the skull fitted with peg and fluted rondel, and with a short camail about the base of the cheek-pieces.
