This beautiful sundial is the first in a limited edition of twenty-five commissioned by the National Maritime Museum based in Greenwich, London. It was commissioned to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Silver Jubilee, designed by Christopher Daniel, a then member of the Museum's staff and modelled by Edwin Russell, who also sculpted the 'mother dial' at Greenwich.
