A Fine D.B. Percussion Cape Rifle

With browned twist sighted barrels signed 'Joseph Bourne. Maker. London. No. 3187' at the breech, the right barrel smooth and of 14-bore, the left barrel rifled for a winged bullet and of 39-bore, blued back-sight with six folding leaves, matt rib calibrated in inches from '1' to '20' forward of the back-sight, scroll engraved case-hardened patent breeches each with platinum plug, long scroll engraved case-hardened tang, signed scroll engraved case-hardened locks each with blued safety-catch, figured walnut half-stock numbered '3186' under the barrels, chequered grip and fore-end, scroll engraved mounts including case-hardened serial numbered trigger-guard engraved with a running stag, and case-hardened hinged patch-box cover engraved with a lion, vacant silver escutcheon, iron sling mounts, serial numbered brass-tipped ramrod, and most of its original finish, London proof marks
