A finely engineered bronze, brass and stainless steel 1/12th scale model of the table engine 'Grace',
built by Staines Bros, London with cylinder 1in. bore x 2in. stroke, centrally mounted valve chest with separate steamways, inlet and exhaust pipes with flanged joints, main stop valve, studded stuffing boxes, cylinderhead mounted crosshead guides, barrelled connecting rods with pinned little ends and marine type big end, the crankshaft running in three main bearings in trunnions, the outboard supported on two turned tapered columns with spoked flywheel and belt pulley, the whole raised in two tiers each supported on four tapered columns, gear driven Watt-type governor, linkage and valve and other details, finished in polished brightwork, wood display base with legend - 15¼x10¼ in. (38.7 x 26cm.)
