The case surmounted by the figure of a putto riding a dolphin, with fluted columns to the angles, on waisted stiff leaf cast base and palmette cast feet, the side panels painted with a triton and mermaid respectively on gilt reserves against sky blue grounds with gilt and jewelled decoration, the conforming dial with individual white enamel Roman chapters and gilt spade hands, the centre painted with a maiden and a dolphin, with twin barrel movement striking on a bell, stamped on the backplate CMF 329 -- 12¼in.
