A French gilt-bronze striking cathedral clock, circa 1835
The case modelled with a tracery facade and Gothic cluster columns, with bell tower to the top and on stepped rectangular base, openwork gate to the front and amethyst-tinted glass panel to the rear, blue tinted glass windows to the sides, the dial with individual black painted Gothic chapters, blued steel crescent moon hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike tripping to bell to tower, stamped on the backplate LE ROY A PARIS and 329 -- 23¾in. (60.5cm.) high
