Shaped oval on four lion's-mask feet, rim of body with scrolling acanthus leaf and vines, body pierced with scrolling foliage and trellis pattern, the swing handle with caryatid terminals and handle engraved with acanthus leaf and foliage decoration, central rocaille panel on handle flat-chased with crest, plain field of body later engraved with coat-of-arms within rocaille mantling, marked on base and handle
