The breakarch hood with central leaf carving, outset reeded columns and glazed side panels, the breakarch trunk door with moulded frame, on plain plinth, the 12in. wide silvered and engraved Roman and Arabic dial with crossed minute track, floral lower spandrels and swags to the arch with subsidiary strike/silent ring, the centre with seconds ring and date aperture, signed John Gartly/ABERDEEN, pierced blued steel hands, the eight day five pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 85in. (216cm.) high
