拍品专文

The combination of strapwork and diaper-pattern seems to be particularly associated with Irish carving, as seen on a pair of early George III side tables formerly in the Mulliner collection and acquired in 1907 for Heywood, Co. Laois, sold Christie's, London, 27 November 2003, lot 67. Diaper pattern also features on the frieze rails of the distinctive rectangular tea tables such as were sold anonymously Christie's, London, 4 July 1995, lot 90.
