GEISLINGEN, LATE 18TH EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The kings and queens as petal-shaped tiers on baluster knopped stems, the bishops modelled as fous wearing tri-corn hats, the knights as sea-horses, the rooks as turrets with petal-shaped battlements, re-stained and re-decorated
The king -- 3 1/8in. (8cm.) high; the pawn -- 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) high
