The long blade cast with one sharp edge tapering to a pointed tip, indented on each of the flat sides with double grooves, fitted with a gilt-metal sword guard cast in openwork with dragons amidst a dense leafy scroll, embellished with coral and turquoise beads, repeated on the gilt-silver filigree handle; the scabbard similarly decorated with further filigree work on each of the flat sides
