Woven with a large front-facing four-clawed mang dragon with large eyes under bushy brows leaping around a flaming pearl amidst clouds and water motifs, all picked out in bold shades of green, blue, salmon, black, yellow and gold threads on a rich coral-red ground, the brows of the dragon picked out in peacock feather filaments

Lot Essay
The panel has been re-used as part of a ritual textile in Tibet, possibly as part of a ceremonial apron. Originally, it may have been a chair cover.
