A lacquer and hardstone netsuke modelled as the head of a ho-o
the open mouth and eyes in hardstone applied to the lacquer head -- 2 5/8in. (6.6cm.) wide; a lacquer three-case inro, decorated in silver and gilt hiramakie and coloured takamakie with ducks amongst lotus in a flowing stream -- 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) high; and a small carved ivory tusk vase on lacquer stand, carved with a figure amongst lotus surrounded by toads -- 5½in. (14cm.) high, (minor wear).
