QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The flattened, circular body is decorated with a bold and dense allover design of peonies of various sizes and colors, including a large red and white blossom on each side, growing amidst long-stemmed marigolds (wanshouju), chrysanthemums and lingzhi, and continuing up onto the garlic-head neck which is flanked by a pair of gilded dragon-form handles.
