A MASSIVE RED-GROUND KESI SILK HANGING
YONGZHENG/QIANLONG PERIOD (1723-1795)
Of rectangular form, intricately woven to depict a large lotus bloom at the centre dividing two further large blooms, one on the upper and the other on the lower panel, all borne on undulating stems growing smaller leaves and flowers and further detailed with bats, bordered by bracket scrolls on each of the four corners and similar scrolls at the mid-section of the longer sides, the details of the veins finely picked out in black
