Lot Essay

Blohm Collection label printed O.B. and inscribed 1508. in black ink attached to inside of base.

See Alfred Ziffer, loc. cit., p. 26 for an illustration of the Bäuml Collection version, which also has a similar incised interlaced Cs mark on the globe. A white example without the arched ribbon is illustrated by Friedrich Hoffmann, Geschichte der Porzellan-Manufaktur Nymphenburg (Leipzig, 1921), Vol. I, p. 104, pl. 100.
