RUSSIAN, ILLEGIBLE MARKS, DATED 18 DECEMBER 1797
On the obverse the crucified Christ wearing the loin cloth and a prominent tripartite halo, above the tabula ansata inscribed with the Russian initials for 'Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews', the dedication on the reverse explaining that the cross was produced to commemorate the beginning of the reign of the emperor Paul I of Russia, with a chain, made of silver
