The 11in. sq. dial with Roman and Arabic silvered chapter ring signed John Burgis, London, pierced blued steel hands, the matted center with ringed winding holes, foliate winged cherub spandrels, latches to the dial feet and six ringed pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on bell, the case with foliate-pierced freize fret beneath the flat top supported on giltwood capped ¾-columns, concave throat molding to the feather-strung rectangular door, convex molding to the the similarly strung plinth with molded foot
