of cream velvet, air brushed pink and purple patches, painted features including open side-glancing pie-cut eyes, red felt tongue, swivel head, jointed limbs with stitched claws, oil-cloth collar with bow-tie and rare card swing tag --6½in. (16.5cm.) high (some slight discolouration and creasing to card tag)

Bonzo was created by illustrator George Studdy, this little dog appeared in publications like 'The Tattler' and 'The Sketch' from 1912; it was not until 1922 that he was named. He is probably the most famous cartoon dog.
