Edo period (19th century), the first inscribed Nami (no) hira Yukiyasu
The short sword shinogi-zukuri configuration with an iori-mune back, a chu-gissaki point and a slight koshi-zori curvature, the forging pattern tight concentric lines of itame and the tempered edge suguha midare with a small flame-like tip, tang unshortened with one mekugi-ana; the configuration of the dagger hira-zukuri, iori-mune and uchi-zori curvature, the forging pattern masame, the tempered edge suguha, the tang possibly shortened with cross file marks and two peg holes; both in wood storage scabbards
