A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE GOURD-FORM SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1850
The somewhat irregular jade pebble is well carved as a lobed gourd borne on a leafy vine that extends around the sides from the quadrilobed calyx that forms the concave foot. The russet color in the stone is used to highlight the leaves on one side.
2 ¾ in. (7 cm.) high, mother-of-pearl stopper
