QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

The flattened pebble carved to depict Liuhai, grasping a floral spray thrown over his shoulder, straddled over a scaly dragon-fish swimming through crashing waves, the reverse with Liuhai's three-legged toad hanging on to the dragon's side fin, the even creamy-white stone with areas of russet inclusions
