Cylindrical and on spreading foot, the part spirally-fluted body with gadrooned mid-rib and bands of stylised foliage, the hinged domed cover similarly chased and with spirally-fluted boss and shaped rim, the scroll handle applied with cut-cardwork and with shield-shaped terminal and bifurcated scroll thumbpiece, the side chased with shaped scroll, foliage and scalework cartouche, later engraved with the initials WC, marked on side and cover
