A Worcester moulded oval sauceboat Circa 1754, incised X to base
The loop handle with scroll thumbrest, the flared shaped oval body painted in a famille verte palette with a crane strutting by flowering shrubs issuing from pierced blue rockwork and by a red fence within crisply-moulded C-scroll and flower cartouches, the lower part with meandering moulded strapwork, the interior with a flowering plant and scattered insects beneath a panelled green diaper and flowerhead border (minute chip to spout, three other rim chips)
