An 18th-Century brass circumferentor,
signed I*Coggs in Fleet Street. London Fecit, the central brass compass with sixteen-point wind rose, two degree scales and blued-steel needle (replacement), with a brass cover with glazed aperture, mounted on the alidade arm with two verniers and two upright sights, the circle with a circumference scale and two further upright sights -- 31.7cm. (12½in.) diameter
