ATTRIBUTED TO THE PAINTER OF BERLIN 2268, CIRCA EARLY 5TH CENTURY B.C.
The tondo with a nude warrior moving right, his head turned back, his torso twisting left, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet, a shield in his raised left arm, a spear in his lowered right, traces of an inscription in added red; the exterior with a battle scene preserving nude warriors with shields and a horse; together with an Attic red-figured kylix, attributed to the Telephos Painter, the tondo with a draped youth standing beside a laver, the exterior preserving seated and standing figures, the foot now missing
