This serving-table, with Bacchic lion-feet and serpentined legs embellished with the husk-festooned shell badges of Venus, is designed in the George II 'antique' manner; and its ornament corresponds to that of a Dublin parlour-chair of the 1740's illustrated by the Knight of Glin, Irish Furniture, 1980, fig 23
