Erica paints one of her favourite subjects in the present lot, that of the animal kingdom at the zoo. This subject allows her to increase the depth of her work through a multi-base perspective, layering the components in her work in varying sizes to create different dimensions on a flat plane. The vibrant and immediate colours which Erica uses in this painting heighten the celebratory mood of the work.
