Edmond de Rothschild (his stamp on the reverse), from whom confiscated by the Einsatzstab Reichsleiter Rosenberg (catalogued as 'Portrait of a Boy' by Nicolas Lépicié, inv. no. R69) intended for the Führer Museum, Linz (no. 1496); transferred to the Munich Collecting Point (inv. no. 3010), repatriated to France and restituted in 1945.
