A FINE SELECTION: the first three drawings were produced for Conrad Temminck and Baron Guillaume Laugier de Chartrouse's Nouveau receuil de planches coloriées d'oiseaux (Paris, Strasburg & Amsterdam: 1820-1839), a work which included 600 plates by Hüet or Prêtre. The fourth uninscribed watercolour was almost certainly produced for the same work. See C. Jackson Dictionary of Bird Artists of the World pp.299 and 399. (4)
