The first probably 16th Century
Each of bright steel, the first with fluted main plate tapering to a point at the bottom and with separate riveted ear-pieces and eye-flanges, hinged pate-plate, and central brow-spike (incomplete) riveted through the centre of a pleated disc (some rust holing); the second with applied brass border with roped half-turn at the base of the nose, and domed brass rivets throughout (pate-plate missing)
