Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe original fitted brown leather presentation box and original receipt dated July 19, 1956, confirming reception of "the sum of Fr. 1,200 (US$ 280) from Mr. Irving Hirschman for a man's wristwatch style 2442 in 18K yellow gold, movement number 976130".
Production of reference 2442 was launched in 1948 and could be found in Patek Philippe sales catalogues until around 1960.
It is one of the rarest and most exclusive rectangular models by Patek Philippe. In fact, research has resulted in the discovery of less than 30 yellow gold examples of reference 2442 to have appeared in public to date.
The present watch is furthermore distinguished by its very good overall condition and the fact that it is delivered with the original certificate, sales receipt, box and leather bracelet.
