Poetry, Persian manuscript on gold-speckled paper, 205ff. plus eight fly-leaves, each folio with 12ll. of black nasta'liq script, text arranged in one or two columns, the inter-columnar division a band of black floral scroll on gold ground between green rules, text occasionally framed with illuminated cartouches in gold and polychrome, text within gold and polychrome rules, with catchwords, opening bifolio with 'carpet' illumination in gold and polychrome, followed by a finely illuminated headpiece, another two finely illuminated headpieces throughout the text, occasional marginal notes, colophon signed, in 17th century stamped and gilt morocco binding with flap, a Qajar calligraphic text in shikasteh script pasted down on doublure
