TWO BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLES
1820-1870
The first, rounded, soft paste rectangular bottle, 1820-1850, is decorated with a continuous scene probably from a novel, with an apocryphal Qianlong mark on the base. The second, flattened pear-form bottle, 1840-1870, is painted on one side with a scene of Meng Haoren riding his donkey and accompanied by his attendant, the other side with the two greeting a flower seller, and the base with an apocryphal Yongzheng mark.
2 5/8 and 2 ½ in. (6.7 and 6.3 cm.) high, glass and soapstone stoppers
