Two Qingbai Dishes
Song/Yuan dynasty, 12th-14th century
One raised on a small pedestal foot, the lower body flared before angling upwards to the petal-carved rim, the interior carved and combed with a large foliate spray, covered overall with a transparent glaze of pale blue tone; the other with shallow rounded sides, the interior molded with lotus sprays in the center below a band of narrow petals and a keyfret border, all but the slightly everted rim and center of the base covered with a glaze of good pale blue tone
5 7/8 and 6 3/16in. (15 and 15.6cm.) diam.
